Scam call reported by kezza

This bozo has been calling for months from different numbers. Always the same message. I returned the call once. Asked him what it was about. He told me he had my case file and I apparently owed just under $5000 in taxes. What years, I asked. From 2009-2014. I laughed. I then asked him for my Tax File Number - just to prove his credentials. He got very angry, and hung up immediately. I rang back, and he told me to get f***ed!!! Hehehe

"Kenneth" has a history of saying he is from the ATO, he uses a number of different phone numbers. There are a lot of reports about Kenneth, why hasn't someone done something about this nuisance?

Had 2 messages on our Answering Machine today. The first from this number. He was Indian and used the name Jason O'Connor. He said he was from the Taxation Office. Next message was left 3 hours later but the number was 0248173033 and used the name Kenneth Matthews. He said he was from the Tax Office Legal Department. I have lodged 2 reports and have been told to consider putting my house number and all mobiles on the Do Not Call Register.

Got a message on my house phone 2 days in a row, telling me they are ringing from the Commonwealth prosecutions Office, Canberra, and that I have avoided or evasion, and that I will be prosecuted... I just received my Tax Cheque today... so definitely a Scam...

Called and left message to call back on this number about an tax debt to needs to be addressed urgently. Had a call from same person yesterday with a different call back number which is reported to be a scam.

I just got a call from someone pretending to be from the ATO. He said I have a case against me for Tax Evasion and should call him back on 02 8317 3182. I've been retired for 20 years. LOL.

Possible scam (Call centre) reported by MikeOne

Seems to be some call center, I can see more similar numbers (all the same range - 02831731xx, just last 2 or 3 digits different) reported here already - mostly as fake financial services. No idea who is behind it, they left no message, no VM. I really don't answer unknown numbers, tried to dig some info about this number first on internet, but no luck so far. People did someone answer it?
