Indian man, clearly overseas. Said he was from claims central and said he was calling about a motor vehicle accident. Was not able to identify who I was or details of any accident. Hung up when I asked him if he was a scammer.

Yes, they called me asking for a different name while I was driving. I called back and was eventually told that it was HSBC financial and they were offering me financial advice - what was my account number. I haven't got an account and my number is also on the 'do not call' register. After threatening my Asian caller with further legal repercussions, he agreed to remove my number and not call again. I am following up with a call to HSBC head office with similar threats. Can't wait to see how long it takes to get another call.
