Made a complaint with HSBC, got a call back from this number (which is also listed on their web site). Missed the call but got an e-mail afterwards saying they tried to call.

HSBC Anti-money laundering thing asking about transactions (Company) reported by j

Got a call (terrible connection with static and breakups) stating it was from HSBC, anti-money laundering, and called me by name. Suspicious about anyone who calls out of the blue. Asked for a reference or identification and I'll walk into the branch. Was legitimate call - probably wanting to know if a series of transactions was me being a criminal.

Asked security questions without positive identification. (Call centre) reported by Ian

The bank called me and began to ask security questions without me being able to positively identify them. This is illegal. Also their line was terrible and the accent almost unintelligible.
