After I missed the call I rang the number back, was greeted with a recorded message telling me that during this call they would be collecting personal information about me and even about my health.... WOW. No Bank would ever cold call and ask for personal information over the phone. Please people stop falling for this rubbish!

SCAM ALERT Just wanting warn everyone that I was called this morn (Scam call) reported by Tom
I googled the number and they have been calling people saying they are the commonwealth bank!!! I have then received 3 blocked calls since then as they must be trying to contact me! They even went as far to leave a voice mail. I did contact my bank and they confirmed they haven’t been trying to make contact so obviously these are scammers.

I am afraid I fell for this and called them back and confirmed a few details (date of birth, phone number and mailing address). Didn’t give any bank account details or ID details. Should I be worried? Anything I should do to follow up and mitigate risk I have exposed myself to? Thanks!

received call from this number advising Commbank were calling and to press any number to be connected, i did this and then the call ended. I called the number back from a landline and it goes to a commbank call centre, asking for netbank number, account number, credit card number or loan number. this is not what the commbank automated service asks for when you call. I went through the motions to speak to someone without putting in any details and sat on hold for ages. Have reported scam to the bank

I had a missed call from this number on my mobile but no message left. Also similar number called me recently - 385955227 and 385955229, probably the same marketing company? don't wanna call back since I do not know the number - it could be just a robocaller testing if my number is responding, don't want to let them know my line is active... People please did someone answer it? Who is behind this number?
