I answered the call, there was an automated voice message "from A (Scam call) reported by Olga
I answered the call, there was an automated voice message from "ATO" something about underpaid taxes and lawsuit against me. They left a # I had to call but I had no time to put it down, so I called back to that number. I was surprised it was answered. Thought it would be automated response with options to follow. The lady with the strong Chinese accent pretended to be an ATO staff and told me lots of nonsense. I had a strong feeling it is a scam. As I called my tax accountant, I got confirmed they are scammers. What do they count on???

I missed the call, an automated voice message was left from (allegedly) the audit department of the ATO, saying a lawsuit was made against me and an arrest warrant would be issued if I did not call them immediately... I did not call back!

Left a voicemail saying I have a tax debt, if I don't pay immediately I would get arrested. DO NOT CALL BACK !!! If you are unsure about your tax position. Call the number on ATO website.

I do not believe this number is "safe". I have been getting 2-3 calls every day from this number for the last 3 weeks. They do not leave a message, on the occasions I have answered the call, the person just hangs.
