It is a nuisance call, I've been called for 3 days this round so far. They never answer & I get many calls. I think that they collect our number to sell or give to companies, or else why would they continually ring but never open the line to talk, no recording, nothing to say who or what they are about. Suspicious indeed.

Claimed to be ringing on behalf of Salvos. Asked for my partner by name (has donated in the past by mail). No authority was given to cold call us. On Call back recorded message stated "Charity Fund Raising Specialists. Apple Group).

They don't need your permission to cold call. If you've donated in any way in the past, and provided your phone number, you will be on their list. My sister used to work for the Apple Group and all that was covered in the staff induction
