They ask you to get in front of your computer and to follow prompts Until you get to remote access they are so dumb

Internet cutoff with 24 hours! (Scam call) reported by 43.251.166.xxx
First voice was a robot message allegedly from Telstra that due to attacks on my internet, it would be cut off within 24 hours unless their Technician took action. I pressed "1" and got a man with a Punjabi accent who said he was "David Johnson". He refused to give any Error Log details or Telstra fault ID number, but did give me this number to call back on. By the way, we have NOT used Telstra for any services for twenty years and counting, so there is no doubt this is a scam.

Fix my internet (Scam call) reported by Peter
Called wanting me to go to my computer so he could show me what was wrong. Claimed to be with Telstra. I use wireless internet, so new it was a scam. Hot his name and number as I said I would need to call him back.

Remote Access scam - internet Telstra (Scam call) reported by Noel Hallett
Claimed to be Telstra internet technician. my IP address had been hacked and my computer was sending error messages causing my internet to drop out. (Funny thing is that it has been). However I stopped when he tried to get me to download remote access software Anydesk. Google showed up with Anydesk scam details on the ACCC website. Very persistent and new all things to say.
