ORC International doing a survey on behalf of the NSW gov, claims to be exempt from the do not call list. Surveying residents in NSW I live in Victoria, so there was no hassle and I told them I wasn't interested anyway. Office number 03 9935 5700, website https://orcinternational.com.au. The first time he called I was on another call to the hospital so I cut him short. Then he started calling incessantly every day for the next week - but I wasn't home. Now that I am, I won't fall for it again. I don't have a landline phone that blocks numbers, so instead I add these callers (if the number is not blocked) to my Contacts list in the phone, under NOOOOOOO. So next time they call and I check the ID, I know just to ignore it.

starts off as an rep of govt. then avoids direct questions by me such as...what are u selling and how much will it cost me. it was an aussie accent....takes only 30 seconds before its time to hang up.

This number keeps calling my business cell. When I pick up, they hang up then call back. When I don't answer, they call back. It happens between 3 to 5 times a day. At least it's during business hours and work only on work days. I am actually growing sympathy for my African scam friends. They let you believe you inherited 55 Million sea shells or something similar. We had a laugh together when they noticed I wasn't 60+ and there was no chance in hell I would spend money on anything besides well everything else. Then but only then they respected some sort of ethics. This group is just stalking people without any consideration or ethics.

Google doesn't do surveys where you can win things. That was scam #1 And after you gave out your details, that was scam #2. :(

Yeah so like I was listening to Lana Del Rey at work and it was fire. I was sooooo calm and docile and then I got this call and was like WHOOOAAA SH####TTT. So scrambled to get my handsfree cable, plugged it in, it didn't work and then like missed the call and was like what if: - that was my mum calling me from an interstate landline number because she has been taken hostage - Harambe calling me from beyond the grave Turns out it was neither of those. Called them back and it was some trash * company, nobody picked up. The woman who recorded the voicemail sounded dank af as well. Think the spawn of Gina Rinehart and Pauline Hanson but in a really * government job for 30+ years so like there is no will to live in her voice.

He claimed to be calling on behalf of Australian government to participate a survey. I asked him how did you get my private number, he said: that they randomly call people. I told him that this is illegal to call private numbers. Companies in these days buy a list of phone numbers and email address and selling it to another companies so they can call you.
