Caller stated she was calling on BEHALF of Vodafone. Said she had new products and services to show me and could she have my 4 digit Vodafone PIN. I said no, she could email me any information as she would have these details. At that moment a text came thru stating it was vodafone calling and I would need to supply my PIN. Caller asked if I had issues previously with supplying a PIN at which point I explained that it was called a PERSONAL identification number for a reason and hung up.

Any "company" who calls YOU up and asks for your PIN number for verification can not be trusted.

Scam as usual. Talks to you about promotions with your plan (I get messages about promotions from Vodafone myself) they act as they are working at Vodafone. Anyone that trys to say they work at your phone company do NOT need your pin number to your account, any other infomation as such is not to be shared with others as even though I have been set up with other phone companies, they tell you not to give out that infomation not even to their staff

Guy that called me was working on behalf of Voadfone AU though he was based in Fiji. I got an SMS from Vodafone whilst I was on the call to confirm the call was legitimate. Increased my data by 6GB/mth - I'm happy :)
