Told me they were from Vodafone an said i'd been there a while. Yes i am with Vodafone. They asked if i used mainly calls, data or text, told them they were my Service Provider and they should know. She chuckled and moved on. Asked for my PIN number so they could review my usage .. I said no and told her i didnt know her so wouldnt do so. She said look at my phone and see the text from Vodafone showing that someone would call. Not text. Said i am not giving my PIN and she said Ok and hung up. Not the actions of anyone other than a scammer!

said they were from Vodafone and wanted to upgrade my contact. They got my name totally wrong and then asked for PIN number for Vodafone account, so that they could so a 'detailed analysis' of my calls. I asked where she was calling from, and was told that she was in Fiji! I advised that there was no way in the world that I would release ANY details to her, and told her that I would be advising Vodafone management.

Received a call on a Saturday morning (a bit odd). Woman with a strong accent claiming to be from Vodaphone. They said I was due a 'phone upgrade' but immediately said that if I was happy with my phone then I could just add extra data at no extra cost. I asked her to send me the deal to my email address and was told they 'don't have the authority to send emails to customers'. To me that seemed incredibly suspicious, and I hung up.

This number keeps calling me on a saturday, on the phone comes up as Melbourne.. i only today just googled it and saw all of this hmmm and when i try to call back it says number is disconnected... very strange has happened every saturday for the past 3 weeks

Some sort of scam probably. Indian call centre, she called me then wanted my secuŕity information. If genuine it was incredibly poor form on vodafones part.
