I had two missed calls from this number. Called back and it's actually Lode - which are apart of the services of Student VIP that I registered for during O-week. I was busy so told her I had to go as I was on the train. It isnt a scam and they're not telemarketers loll.

Don't be nieve and don't sign up with them. They are scam artists. They try to lure you in with the promise of internships, then try to sell you their Program Management diploma at the (un) reasonable cost of over $16000. And they don't give up!

Telemarketer reported by Ticked Off
Missed call from some guy saying he was from Lode (at my university) - looks like it's a telemarketer from http://www.lode.com.au - don't know how they got my number and quite frankly pretty ticked off about it! Wouldn't answer it if they called again

the so called company is called LODE and they have NO PHYSICAL ADDRESS although they advertise some bogus street address in Docklands which is actually a residential apartment block - too funny. DO NOT give them your credit card details or your money this is a TOTAL SCAM- I don't even know how they got my phone number cause when I contacted my uni services admin they said they never give out student details. they called me last week and said they would find me a job once I left uni this year with 100% guarantee if I PAID THEM $300 right now giving them my credit card. The guy was a real MORON and said he was actually the CEO, he then pressured me for my date of birth and credit card number... I told him to pi*s off and reported him to the ombudsman and police.
Docklands resident
Umm... i think you are diss-ing the wrong co. I live in 349-369 Docklands Drive and the building opposite - 370 Docklands Drive - is definitely an office building. It's not residential. It even has a lot of private education co's in it. Kaplan is on the gorund floor - i walk past it every day. nex time i remmeber i'll look on the door to see if lode is listed.
[edit: it is]

Scam - TeleMarketing (Scam call) reported by MikeOne
Be aware, this number is used for telemarketing, in fact just a scam, they try to collect your personal info, do not provide them with any without double-checking the info provided. In most cases reported as a call from non-existing organization.

I worked at studentservices.com.ai, and know that lode is not a scam.
Ok, so there's always going to be some employees that go rogue or just aren't good at their jobs, and it sounds like that's the experience you have had.
But do your research, because Lode does not attempt to collect the personal information of the people they call.
They already HAVE that INFO because YOU have it to them, when you enrolled into your university course and choose to accept the services offered by studentsservices.com.au, you have them your name, contact number, email, course details.
You have a profile on their website.
They work in partnership with the Australian government and corporate business to deliver internships to approved candidates something like 3500 students did the internship program last year.
Yes I'm going to go into bat for a business that works in partnership with student services, and that's because I'd do the same and tell the world if they were a scam organisation
