These guys actually do provide a service. If you say no and they keep calling, yes, that's annoying, but, they did change all the downlights for me into led when the government subsidised that, and now, as stated below, they're installing power gadgets to keep an eye on your electricity usage. I had no issues with them so far after the installation.

It's a third party rep on behalf of EnergyPal claiming they were installing a smart meter device tomorrow and will disconnect my power to do so. I've had dozens of calls and each time I ask them to stop calling me and remove my number from their register but they don't. Please lodge complaints to this company to get this calls to stop!!

Phone me twice within 15mins. Crackling phone line and delayed response when I said hello so it sounded dodgy from the start. Kept trying to say he was from the government. I asked where he had my received my number and he seemed to get flustered. After a continued bad line I hung up. Clearly a scam or telemarketing call.

Actually is probably legit but called me 3 times today (23/09/2021) and I said I didn't want the item. Expecting them to call me again as they obviously have a hopeless system. So I don't want the 7-11 types coming around to my house and installing something. If I want one I will call the many providers of these things (LED replacements etc) all supported by the Vic Government $ which of course has the honey pot effect. Not on a cold call.

Offering free in home power monitor display as free government service. Hung up on me as soon as soon as I said I had one installed 3 weeks earlier. Not that I would have taken up the offer… never ever trust a cold call.
