They called me about my electricity bill and they said that I was paying high bills and they can get me 40% discount from other company and now they keep calling me with different number every time it's annoying can we make this type of harassment illegal now?

I answered but there was no response for a couple of seconds so it's obviously from overseas. She asked me if I paid the electricity bill, I just said sorry not interested, then hung up and blocked the number.

Claimed to be independent company that checks if you are paying the lowest possible price for power bills. They said that they had my address as -----. This was actually my address from 6 six years ago, but just to play along I said yes. I heard a few taps of a keyboard and then they said that they had just checked my latest power bill and said that it was 41% more than what I should be paying and that I could get cheaper from another company. I didn't bother with the rest of the call.

Cold call, asked if I wanted a deal on my electricity bill, and if I was the person who paid the electricity bills. I asked how they got my number, they just said it was from their database. When I asked what company they were from, they hung up. Called back and there was no answer, just an option to leave a message.
