bill shows I sent an sms to this number at 4am. no record of any sms to this number or any number on that day. confirmed with telco that it was sent at 4am from my phones IMEI.

Received 10C charge on phone bill (SMS) reported by


Contacted Optus about this 10C sms charge on phone bill that I didn't make. Rang the scam number from another phone on speaker phone to Optus and when it said "Number not in use or disconnected" and obviously a scam Optus reversed the charge.

I got charged 12c for an SMS I didn't send, on a PAYG plan I was about to convert to a monthly plan. The 12c charge reduced the balance below what I needed to convert or I would never have known about this SMS. There was no record of it in my phone's call history. I did NOT SEND that SMS but my mobile provider says I did. Frustrating as hell. My provider credited back the 12c so it just cost me time, and being accused of being a liar! But I HATE thieves and criminals - no sympathy at all - they deserve everything the police and other criminals do to them - SCUM!

I received a message on my phone that this number was using my number to set up a device. I then received more messages from Facebook, MyGov and Google with verification codes for my accounts. (I have 2 step verification processes)

I saw a charge on my mobile phone bill for an SMS sent to 61488863468, but there's no record of it in my phone's call history. Some app is sending secret SMSes out via a backdoor!

Omg!! Exact same thing happend to me this morning at 1:30am while I was asleep. I apparently sent a txt to this number but no record of this number or txt in my phone. I was looking up my data usage on Optus website and scrolling thru my settings. Then was on the phone to Optus for more than 30mins. Optus said it has something to do with global star?
