Conducting a survey... as soon as I said I didn’t own my home he hung up. I questioned why he was calling from Brisbane if he was indeed from Cairns City Council and he wouldn’t answer me straight.

Spoke to a guy with an accent. He said it was Jade from the city council in Australia (that was my first clue). I laughed and said "which council? There are a lot of councils in australia". Then he hung up.

Seventh time they've called in 3 months (Unsolicited call) reported by


I had a call from them and when I checked the number I realised they'd repeatedly called twice at the end of July,end of August, once at the end of October and once today (3rd November). Call never connects (probably because I have terrible service where I live). I vaguely remember calling back and getting an automated message about surveys or something. Won't bother calling back again.

Claimed to be from Australian Bureau of Statistics. Started by asking if I fell into certain age categories. When I questioned caller as to requiring these details, he claimed they made this call each year. At this point I was certain that the call was a scam & told him so, then hung up. Scammer then continued to call & with insults until I blocked the callers phone number.

I've received repeated calls from "Lifestyle Australia". They use my surname and each time I answer I ask what Lifestyle Australia actually does. They don't answer the question and hang up instead - not the behaviour of a legitimate caller at all.

Had a call from "Julie" at "Lifestyle Australia", they had my last name only. I asked her what "Lifestyle Australia" was and she said "actually, um" and hung up. Pretty funny tbh
