i had a missed call that left a msg to 101 saying i they need to talk to me from qld headquaters public prosocutions i was like what!!! hahaha "its a fake - scammer" who needs that rubbish. I have reported it to consumer affairs... I didn't call the scammer back on the 07 3177 7093 number indicated... PEOPLE BEWARE...

Just received a call from the same number with a recorded message in an American Accent, only it was a voice bot on the message, PING! That was the first red flag. Before calling the number I did a search and found this helpful site amongst a few others, all saying the same thing. PING! That was the second red flag. I turned my mobile onto "Hide my number" and called them back. I let the operator go through his script and he did so using an Indian Accent and his scare tactic, when he asked for my name and personal details, I asked him why? He went off into another scripted rant, when he finished his rant I started reading my own script, and that was the reviews that people had left on this site, ( site name or people's names weren't mentioned). After I finished reading the first line of the review, I simply asked him, "So ***hole, what is this really about?" He hung up. I called the number back and within seconds it had been disconnected and replaced by a recorded message with the same American voice bot saying the number no longer exists. Just another scam!

Pretended to be Commonwealth Direct of Public Prosecutions (CDPP) QLD off - left message with request to call back in order to avoid legal action re tax evasion. Clearly a scam as this is not the legal process followed. Also note number is not the QLD number for the CDPP as listed on the CDPP website.

I received a call three times . They left a message on my voice mail. The message said I was being investigated for tax evasion and if i did not call them back they will take legal action. I called them back and asked who are you? They said the Australian Tax Office. The guy had an American Accent so I asked then why do you have an American Accent? At that the guy hung up. I called the ATO who confirmed it was a scam and that the ATO will communicate in writing. The ATO told me that they call using different numbers so be careful.

Call then text message received from this number 20/01/2016 13:48PM Went unanswered. Message followed and says "Hey we are calling from Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions Head Quarters in Queensland. The reason of the call was just to" I have blocked it. Please be careful people with unknown telephone numbers on your 'phones.

Message saying I needed to call back because I was I a legal matter regarding tax evasion. I called back and he said ATO has filed against me for tax evasion. I said why wouldn't I receive something in l the mail or doesn't someone serve you with papers or something like that. He said the local police are ready tosetve me and I said that's fine they can do that and he quickly hung up on me. SCAM

Hmm, even the Caller ID doesn't say some info, does someone know who is this? Have got a missed call from this one, don't wanna call back since I do not know the number... And as it seems also someone else was looking for the same number - people did someone answer it? Who is behind this number?

I answered this number yesterday, it is a scam. A digital voice telling me it was the ATO calling I am under investigation for tax evasion & my house is under surveillance, it then tells you that you need to call the number back immediately.

It's the Department of Public Prosecution today - telling me I've been bad and to call them. ummm.... NO!

I called back and he said the same thing. Are you sure it's a scam? They had my old address surely the tax office would have my correct address?
