Although we are on the "Do Not Call" register, but the Australian government can't do nothing because this call originates from overseas and has a false 02 appearing to be a NSW number! But we can demand that Telstra block all calls from India, yes that is huge overreaction but it would force the Indian government to arrest their own criminals and stop harassing innocent Australians!

This caller with a foreign accent. is saying he is from the ATO. I am wanted for tax evasion and a police officer with a warrant will arrive to arrest me. What a load of *. I belong to the 'do not call' register but still get these scamster calling me. They are * con artists.

Block it. Pure scam, "This call is from the Australian Taxation Office..." or similar. No, it isn't. People be aware, can be a robocaller or a live person behind it, this kind of scam mostly originates from USA, where this type of scam (someone calling on behalf of IRS - Internal Revenue Service, similar to ATO - Australian Taxation Office, https://www.ato.gov.au/) is very common. Block it, report it - police department is already checking this activity. Also, all ATO numbers begin with 13.
