Same thing to me tonight. Rang and told me they have a record of someone from my number having a car accident. Question them and they hang up straight away. AVOID. Do not fall for these scammers. Hang up straight away

Received unsolicited call from this number at 6:40pm on 15 March 2016 stating regarding my recent car accident, they can claim from the other third parties involved. Interesting seeing as 1: I haven't had a recent car accident and 2: the home phone number they called me on is a private number. It was definitely an Indian call centre initiating the call; I could tell by the accent if the callerr as well as the background noise and voices.

This number has called me a few times before asking if I have had a car accident. They want to claim the other parties injuries. I was trying to get information out of him & he couldn't tell me the date of the accident. Plus I don't even have a d ivers licence I wanted to find out more info but he hung up on me

Seems to be some call center, I can see more similar numbers (all the same range - 02831732xx, just last 2 or 3 digits different) reported here already - stocks and telemarketing mostly, sometimes as fake tax call. No idea who is behind it, they left no message, no VM. I really don't answer unknown numbers, tried to dig some info about this number first on internet, but no luck so far. People did someone answer it?
