Had a call from this number 0283173515 saying there from the Australian tax offices. Please beware there are asking for detail and that you owe the ATO money.

People did someone answer this number? I had few missed calls from this one, probably some call centre robocaller testing my number? I don't answer unknown numbers and they left no message. I was trying to dig some info on the internet, don't want to call them back until I know who might be calling but no luck - similar numbers are marked as fake ATO calls, be aware. Some idea who is it? Blocking this one now - I have been using the ShouldIAnswer mobile application from these pages, works fine, can stop such calls and also a range of numbers (very useful for call centres). No problems.

Yep, just had call from this number and they are claiming to be from ATO - with a distinct indian accent. Had threatening calls from these numbers before. Can't repeat what I just said to him!
