He said he was calling from ROADCARE and I had a minor traffic accident awhile back and recently some compensation had become available to me from the third party insurer.He wanted me to hold while he transfered the call to a Supervisor--yeh right. Told him not to call me again as this was a big scam and hung up.Sick to death of getting these calls. I have put this and other numbers on the do not call list and they still call.

Called and asked if this was Kay I stupidly answered yes. Asked if I had been in an accident in last 12 months. I said no. He hung up. I am concerned because I said yes it could be used against me.

Exactly the same thing happened to me - caller asked if this was Liesl and I answered Yes. They then hung up, which makes me wonder if this will be used against me now.

Some criminal called about a so called car accident in the last 12 months, I was entitled to claim compensation. I said I didn't drive nor own a car. He then asked could if it be one of my family members. I asked how a family member could have an accident in a car I don't own. I asked what information they had relating to this 'accident' - he had no details about the vehicle or the accident, just that it happened in Queensland! Ended up hanging up on me because my questions were too difficult for him to answer given it is a scam and he is a blatant criminal.

they asked if someone drove into my car in the last 12 months. (I have heard from others that they received a call like this). I said, nothing has happened to my car, this is a scam. She said, this is not a scam, I said bye and hang up.

Same experience as everyone who has commented down below. This person was definitely part of a CallCenter. I call my insurer and they confirmed that there is nothing of a cheque compensation for my accident that I don't even remember having. This person had my phone number and full home address which disturbed me most - how the hell did they get my home address??!!

They said they were from a Road Accident something and that they were calling me about a road accident I'd been involved in today, I advised that I don't know where they got my phone number from but that I have their number and will be reporting me, they said sorry I'm not sure what you're talking about, I said again, that I will be reporting them, they hung up. Quite disturbing feeling

They asked for my details to send me a cheque for the car accident in the last 12 months which was not my fault. When informed I have never had a car accident at all they didn't know what to say and couldn't back their claim up. Although still wanted my information. This is a total Scam these people are the leeches of society. Swear and yell at them, then hang up.

This number must be part of the range of numbers dedicated to the same call centre - I can see more similar numbers of the same range 2835599xx reported here already, so far as I can see on internet with non-fault accident - insurance marketing. People did they call you with something new, new scope?
