Claiming from Telstra and computer system had been hacked (Scam call) reported by 114.76.80.xxx

Claimed they were from Telstra. Stated there was an issue with the NBN and the service had been hacked. Unfortunately, they ended up scamming us as I had issues with the NBN several days before. They called 2 days in a row. It wansn't until I spoke with a friend and they informed us that Telstra would never call advising that your system had been hacked and they certainly wouldn't be asking you to provide your bank details over the phone. Telstra would not tell you to purchase Google Play Store cards to the value of $450.00. Unfortunately, by that stage they had hacked into my account and attempted to transfer 13K. The crazy thing is had I not had issues with my internet service, I don't think I would have been so vulnerable. Looking back on this now, there were so many red flags. Especially, when the account isn't in my name. Costly lesson learn't

You end up speaking with an international person who says you have a problem with your phone and NBN. We are a business and we dont have problems. If we answer using our business name they just hang up. It has been continual and very disruptive to our business.

I've received several calls from this supposed Melbourne landline offering NBN service. If you don't connect directly with their technician, they threaten to disconnect you immediately.

called and said they offer me a better rate at my bank, knew which bank i am with. after i said I am not dicussing this over the phone, swear at me and hang up.
