Approx 30 calls from this number over the past 2 months. Half the time when I answer, silence. A few times I answered, some lady states they have records of a car accident in the last 24 months. I assume they are cold calling people to get details to sell to lawyers.

Claimed to be a third party insurance company that wanted to send compensation to me in the form of a check. Knew my name and address. When i had said that i hadn't been in an accident they said they were closing the account. Polite, South African accent. Had been calling me for a month or so now but would ever pick up return calls/ if I had answered they would hang up. This time I just picked up the phone and remained silent and someone spoke to me after 30 seconds. Definitely a scam.

Received several calls. It didn't ring and no message was sent. I rang back as I was expecting call from someone who said that their phone wasn't working. It rang then cut out. My text message to them went through though. I went to block the number but it appears that I must have done that in the past. Would this be why it didn't ring each time. Why did my text still go through?
