My returned calsl cut out. Text went through. I blocked number (Silent call) reported by


Received several calls. It didn't ring and no message was sent. I rang back as I was expecting call from someone who said that their phone wasn't working. It rang then cut out. My text message to them went through though. I went to block the number but it appears that I must have done that in the past. Would this be why it didn't ring each time. Why did my text still go through?

Male operator with what sounded to be an Indian accent, lots of background noise but muted whenever they were expecting a response from me, put on to a "senior assessor" who was attempting to speak with a British accent but slipped back to what I believe was an Indian accent occasionally. Attempting to verify that I had been in a not at fault accident, knew my address, name, and phone number. Advised that I was eligible for compensation of between $20 and $50k, and that I would receive this via cheque in the mail. I asked for company name and return phone number, company name was apparently RoadCare but they were unable to provide a return phone number.

This number had rung me several times in the past. Due to being an unknown caller I didn't pick up until today due to expecting a call, when I answered they hung up instantly after I asked who was calling. Searched up number, and it lead me to this. Good thing I didn't fall for anything

They called asking for a date on a car accident I had a few months ago but didn't let me know where they received the information by saying they were given this info from Insurance companies, they had a cheque for me of course but couldn't say how much until I answered their questions. Too suss for me, scammers !! Not selling my details to lawyers !
