Male called me asking about the car accident I was involved in last October. Mentioned the suburb it happened in which is the suburb I live in. I said you give me more information he said tried to get pushy asking for more information. I told him but you seen to know my name and my number but I know nothing about you. He hung up. Do not give them any information

A foreign (possibly indian) male called my mobile from this number 0488827896. He confirmed my name then claimed he was from a company called RoadTek or Road Traffic ... Road something anyway. He then said "You have been involved in a traffic accident recently?" I said "NOOO". He said "Oh I must have been given the wrong information then". and hung up. I'm wondering what the next call is going to be from the same bunch of scammers.

This number called my mobile, had my phone number, and my name. They said I had been involved in a minor car accident in the past year, and told me there were funds available to compensate for the 'inconvenience.' They were representing the third party insurance company. But, they didn't have the vehicle details, the time date or place of the accident or anything else. Very persistent. When I questioned the person, he said the company was Roadcare, and he was ringing from an out call only call centre in Capetown, South Africa. Total scam, I would say.

Claims that is calling from Road Works, about a made up claim, supposedly you've been an accident about a year ago, no specific dates, nothing , just about a year ago. When you answer no, i haven't been in a accident they hang up. And also they have terrible reception.

Claimed to be from a business to help with compensation after a vehicle accident, with details obtained from online crash website. As soon as I asked for documentation and their operating license to be e-mailed to me she insisted that it could all be done on the phone and e-mail isn't an option. I continued to insist and that I didn't believe her. So she ended the call with "Okay, bye". Definitely a scam to get personal information over the phone.

Asked about a recent road accident. I said I have not had a road accident and could she give me the vehicle registration of the vehicle that was involved. she said she couldn't for data protection reasons. My personal thoughts on this call is they are looking for someone who has recently had an accident so they can represent or sell them something or perhaps solicit funds from them.

Lag between their replies and mine, like they're far away. Weird voice and style of speaking, like an older lady squeezed by the balls or someone faking his voice. Aussie-ish accent. Not sure I said "yes", as I was intrigued by the call. In the end he hung up in about 1 minute.

When I said I do not have a family member that drive they put the phone down... Scam call defiantly not sure what they trying to get.. do not give any details even if you have been in an accident ..

He paused before asking if I could hear him and I said yes. All they need is your voice saying yes. Unfortunately I did say yes but then hung up. I have nothing they could spend but nonetheless I was scammed!
