Wanted to talk about a car accident, funny thing is we are private investigators and investigate fraud - I told him this and then told him his number was being traced, he hung up.

Definitely SCAM from India calling about car accident (as others have advised below). Asked her address which she gave me as being in Martin Place Sydney. I told her I didn't believe her and she hung up. A waste of 2mins of my life!

Indian woman said she was from the "Accident Claims" department or something similar and said someone in my household had recently been involved in a car accident (they haven't). I asked how many people fall for this scam and she hung up.

Pretty much had the same conversation - woman with an accent said she was from the "accident claims" department. We have a claim in for an accident at the moment so I thought it may have been related to this & asked where she was calling from - she repeated that she was from the accident claims department & when I asked which company she was calling from she hung up.

This number has rung a few times. I've let it go to answer mail as I do not recognise it. No message left. When I've rung back on multiple occasions, the number is always engaged. This is a clear indicator of a scam. I advise everyone to be cautious.

Stated they were calling from the Accident Commission and wanted to speak to the person (didn't know the name of the person they wanted) who had had an accident recently. They terminated the call when told no one had had an accident. Call reported to Scamwatch.

Claimed to be from the 'Common Law Claims' company, then later 'Injury Help Team'. Attempted scam regarding someone being in an accident. Stalled them for 13 minutes until they hung up on me.
