I knew straight away it was a scam...asked her where she was and she said Sydney so I asked her the address...she said Martin Place....yeah right...... put her on hold to "get my records" and left her there for 15 mins till she hung up.

This scam has called on my business number approximately 10 times over a period of 3 weeks. I decided to play along this time. They asked for all of my personal information and all of the vehicle information. The fellow I had was very suggestive in what had happened. I gave 100% false information so they wouldn't be able to track me at all. Approx 30mins in I ended up getting hung up on. When they called back I said this was a scam. I hung again. He called back telling me to listen that it's not a scam. I hung up, when he called again I said if he called me again I would call the police for harassment. There was no follow up.

Unsolicited call from Jenny, Asian/Indian accent, Accident Investigation Inquiries asking if I had had a car accident in the last 2 years. Was aware immediately it was a scam and sent her around in circles until she hung up in frustration. It's the little things that amuse us. Lol.

An Indian lady called claiming that she had information regarding a motor car accident that I was involved in within the last 18 months to 2 years and that would be entitled to compensation. When questioned about an exact date and a reference number so I could call back they were very hesitant to supply. I did in fact call back and they were after bank details to place funds into.....BEWARE

Call at my home phone wishing to speak to the person by (my surname) who was involved in a car accident last year. At first was vague on details but fished some information out of me, then asked for the location of the accident. I replied if he had retrieved my accident details he would already know those details. He could not offer true information at my insistance. I demanded his name and who he worked for and his contact details. Then reverse look up that number 0280050034, which led me here. I then contacted local police and had information confimed that it was a scam call in an attempt to lodge compensation on my behalf. Who knows what personal information they could have leaked or what illegal proceedings they could have attempted to solicit on my behalf. DODGY!

I had the same thing today! The lady knew all my details including my D.O.B and address and I can't think of any way they could have gotten these apart from a leak from my insurance company or similar

My mum had a call to her home number which she has had for years. The Indian female was hard to understand, she was from Common Law Claims Department and mentioned an accident. Mum had no idea and assumed she was talking about me so she gave her my work number. She called while I was on the phone to mum, I looked up the number and it's all over Google. Told Mum if they ring back to say we know they are scammers and they have been reported!

Basically he claimed to be from Westpac fraud asking if I had authorised a transaction, and when I said no he told me he needed to cancel it, and needed to do so, by asking me to repeat back the six digit authorisation codes, which I stupidly did before realising I was being had, at which time I hung up and spoke to the real Westpac. If we know these people are criminals, why are they still on the street?

This phone number is used by scammers, the pattern matches other scammers I have got calls from. This one is interesting. They fish for you accident details. They really want you CLAIM NUMBER (plus details) They then send in fake doctors bills. They set up direct payment. The money goes into their bank count and off to the criminals running the show. The caller was asian chinese/cambodian

The Indian people claimed to be from Accident Claims Department Common Law Claims. Appears to represent ambulance chasing lawyers. I figure any lawyer who has to stoop to this level to get clients must be pretty useless and anyone below who got claim paid because of them would have been better off (ie got more money) had they found a lawyer with a decent reputation!

Received a call today. Indian sounding voice and he said his name was Alan Harvey from Common Law Claims and gave this number. He wanted my daughter's name and number, but I wouldn't give it. When they ring back, I'll have a whistle ready. They had no details of any accident, who was involved, when it happened. It's definitely a scam.

"Alex" called me, asking if there had been a car accident in last 2 yrs. Lots of background noise, like a call centre, strong accent, very hard to understand, ended every sentence in "right." I refused to give any information, asked for his name, company name (Common Law Claims, based in Sydney) got this number. I'm not going to call back.

I feel they are trying to collect the information, whether we are at home. It looks like big network. I did have conversation with the guy about why they are making such call. Guy said "He is trying to help". They are not the part of Common wealth Claim. Please be aware it is scam.

Yep, I rang back but the phone hung up all 3 times. Definately a scam. I asked her a lot of questions she had no answers for me. When I asked if this was a scam she hung up.

Days back a girl with strong Indian accent pretending to be Angelina..... I didn't even understand a word she was tryna say, I was goin to hang up bt she said she's transferring the call to senior..... A guy Jerry(senior supervisor) continued.... He explained me the whole stuff..... Then I was convinced......guess it's a harmless call... . Can't say bt it's kinda genuine survey I believe.

Yer Same here,they call just then 4 time now. I asked the call the curry on the call, I told her or him that look up the number and information about the number she gave me, was a scam and told Indian, I'm not give you any my information. Where you so calling from Sydney. She start getting very funny on the phone, tell me, She is calling from Sydney in martin place, No other information about sydney. Names, weather, where martin place in NSW, or where I live in Australia. Tell them there scam been report and hang up.

Rang looking to see if I had an accident in the past 2 years. I said "No". They said has anyone in the house had an accident. I said "who is it you are wanting to talk to." They couldn't answer. I told them that they were a scam caller and they continued if nothing had been said. It seems obvious that most people would be offended if they were from some law company and alleged to be scammers. They are definitely a scam number.

One of my clients got a call from Charlie Brown!! stating he was from "Common Law Claims" asking if my client has had an accident in the last 2 years. Either they are ambulance chasing lawyers or just plain dodgy. When I rang 02 8005 0034 I kept getting "call cannot be completed" message.

Received a call from a Jerry Connell posing as a legal advisor saying his was a "confirmation call" but he could not identify my name or number he was calling me on for "privacy reasons". He wanted to know if I had been involved in any accidents. He would not identify his firm but said he was from "Common Law Claims" that the NSW Law Society has no listing for. He did not seem to understand basic legal terms. I eventually got a phone number out of him so I could check the legitimacy and make a complaint. The number is 02 800 50034. It was answered by Victor Smith who claimed to be just answering the phone, had no supervisor and would not identify any firm. The NSW Law Society was quite disintertested in investigating this unless I sent them a full written complaint by post! (In this day and age!). The NSW Office of Legal Services was more interested but again wanted a written complaint on their form. At lease it can be downloaded and emailed in. I'll get to it soon. Just beware of this scam or bunch of ambulance chasing lawyers; I'm not sure which yet.

If you Google it, this number is stated for the injuryhelps.com - but the pages are unavailable. Seems to be some health/insurance telemarketing? Anyway I blocked this number, people did someone answer it?
