I received this call claiming to be from Telstra. They left the number on a voice message ( on my Mum's mobile of all things - her mobile is under my name with Telstra ) along with a name. I called the number back and it was a recorded message saying they tried to contact me and to call another number to reach them ( or something like that ). My home phone wasn't working at the time due to a power outage and I couldn't hear the person on the other end, so their message did confirm that they couldn't hear me, but I got a second call this morning claiming to be from Telstra saying my broadband was getting disconnected within 24 hours as the NBN was available in my area. LOL. I've been on NBN with Telstra for a long time...rolls eyes. So, I sent this information to Telstra and they just confirmed that it is a scam.

Call from this number promising to repair phone bill, but other thing that happened was my phone was disconnected for the past 5 days and still disconnected despite repeated requests to restore. Phone service is in credit and always paid on time. Have missed employment due to this scam.

well...I'm not actually sure what that was?! They said it was Telstra and they'll send a link by SMS for me to make my complaint and find a resolution. asked for DOB Philippines call centre. gave the DOB but I'm not pressing any link sent to my phone!! I have important data I don't want corrupted by some Dodgy link even if it really is Telstra. They've never got anything else right!

Fed up with telemarketing & scam calls. Difficult to know the genuine from the fraud. So I am reluctant to discuss any topic or give personal details. Plus, those who cannot pronounce or speak English with a semblance of clarity do not make me think they are genuine. Wake up to yourself if was really Telstra! We customers are where you make your $$$$. No wonder people are opting out of continuing with Telstra; plus their charges are exhorbitant compared to other telcos on the market.....telcos who don't operate from overseas call centres.

Rings, but: doesn't ring long enough to answer; doesn't always reply when you answer (leading one to assume a scam-caller or weirdo is calling); too lazy to leave message on message-service; too lazy to give any detail in a message left; time-consuming chase-around to find out what is or may be wrong.
