Answered, there was nothing for a few seconds then someone speaking a different language which sounds automated, I blocked them months ago then they stopped calling for a while And now they are back to calling me several times a day. It just pops up as missed call. Very annoying!

This number has called me seven times in past week with spam (Telemarketer) reported by


I blocked this number approx two months ago after repeated spam calls. This week they are back and have tried to call me seven times (all calls were blocked). I called to check the number and it goes to an automated computer message stating that they are a survey company, and that the comply with the Australian Do Not Call Register standards. Considering that they have to write this is an obvious sign that they are a nuisance. I left them a message with my name and number and told them to never call me again but they continue to persist and I’m absoiltely sick of it. Tried to report them but doesn’t look like it has worked. Best to block the number so it goes straight to a missed call

Knew my name said I was with optus, knee the day and month I was born then asked me to tell them the year I was born then I said surely you know this if you have access to my account, I'm not willing to answer such questions I said, he then said he was from optus calling.me from Melbourne! I said Melbourne numbers are 03 not 02 numbers, he said let me explain. I hung up. #dodgy

Optus marketing team wanting to switch me to a new plan. I took their offer, they also tried to push some other products on me but they were perfectly nice about it and stopped asking when I said no. No harm in hearing them out.

I later used the Optus android app and continued the same phone deal application as I was not comfortable giving details to the marketing caller. The optus phone app chat service noticed application was partially filled out, and asked identical verification questions. Perhaps the Optus caller was genuine.(I suggest using app anyway just to be sure.)
