I later used the Optus android app and continued the same phone deal application as I was not comfortable giving details to the marketing caller. The optus phone app chat service noticed application was partially filled out, and asked identical verification questions. Perhaps the Optus caller was genuine.(I suggest using app anyway just to be sure.)

This number calls twice a day, for a few consecutive days. Then again each month. If you answer they hang up, if you call back they claim to be Optus or number is disconnected. Waste of time! Blocking this number is one of the best decisions I've made!

They called 3 times before i decided to answer, told about this Optus deal where you pay $30 for 16gb data and unlimited calls/text, asked me to confirm my name (had my other last name not my official), dob and address (had it wrong anyway) asked for my licence number (didn’t not feel right about that) and then put it through, said (cause my address on license is different from my current address now) that they would need to my Medicare and passport to confirm the application, told them no after that. WOULDNT TRUST

They tried to offer me 30$ prepaid package with 15Gb,Unlimited Calls and Messages, and get my verification such as dob, passport, license. After that they said decline from the system . They do not approve. Useless and waste a tons of time. Not recommend.
