I answered, there was the usual scan call pause. A person spoke with an accent and i hung up. Knew straight away it was telemarketing

Asked if I wanted a loan, low interest, today had a fraudulent transaction of 134.10 and whilst cancelling the card Coles spotted another attempt of 1000, unsure how they got the card number though.

they said my account had been stolen from and it would be frozen. They told me my full name and asked for my suburb. Then said information didn't match and that I should contact some government agency, didnt catch what they said. Than they hung up. Foreign voice very hard to understand. When I looked at my call history, the phone number had tried to ring me a dozen times in 6 months. Very weird, my account seems to be fine ?

Told me they would reduce interest rate on my balance which is fine but didn't tell me I wouldn't be able to pay the balance like I normally pay my credit card. It goes into a separate loan which I never wanted. Suggest not to agree to anything over the phone!!

Coles sales team or whatever. They callled everyday for two weeks without ever leaving a message, or emailing as is my preferred method of contact. Seem legit, but incredibly bothersome. Blocked the number and haven’t received any information since.
