Phoned regarding pre-order of new phone, and free devices that came with the pre-order, delivery addresses and confirmation of new contract. Everything was above board, didn't ask any real private information, other than name, and address for delivery, and DOB.

Optus calling to finalise an order, bad experience though, double handling data that i've already given, indian call centre, noisy background, lots of confusion about the order. Seems like everyone who buys a phone through optus online would get this call. Painful.

Call felt scammy this was in reference to a new SIM I ordered I asked them for the tracking info and they gave me the last 4 digits correctly Asked for my name, DOB, number Told me.my credit card wasn't working however when I checked the cc I saw a debit from Optus Also after this I got. Text from Optus confirmin my order so maybe it's legitimate

I phoned optus back straight away enquiring who prius was and what she was calling me about my account for. They looked into my records and said no one from optus made a call to my number and told me not to answer or phone them back on any number they left, and not to give any information.

Answered the call - I has just updated my plan online - the guy was confirming the update and tried to sell me a watch, After the call I looked up the number and saw the below reviews, I messaged optus and they advised it was a scam call, no one had contacted me from optus. Didn't give this guy any details so not sure what type of scam they are running
