Rang claiming to be Optus. Straight away asked for personal details which I refused to give. Told them I believe it’s a scam as Optus would not call to ask for details which they would already have. Asked to speak to his supervisor, conveniently on another call. Strung him along for a while as these scammers really **** me off. Then hung up. They tried to call 3 more times which I ignored. Searched the number and found this thread. Concerned that someone claimed hacked email and bank account! Do not give them any of your details!!!!!

SCAM - then drained my bank account (Scam call) reported by


Called saying they were from Optus and asked for personal details, which I didn't give, and hung up. Soon after that I had a message saying my phone had been ported from Optus to another provider. A few minutes after that my email account was hacked, and again a few minutes after that I was contacted by my bank reporting suspicious behaviour. My bank accounts were drained - all my money was gone. Have had to sort things out with Optus and my bank - things will turn out fine, but this is definitely a scam.

Do not answer. Call optus or use optus live chat to ask them if they are trying to contact you. I asked optus and they said no. I believe the scammer is making it look like they are calling from optus. It's a sad indian man trying to get your details. How sad have you got to be to resort to this.
