Says it’s optus but when u call back it’s optus Indian call ctr even so comes across as scam how can u make call from number that’s says not connected when u call it comes across as scam number shame on u optus. I suspect it’s set up to show its syd number even though it’s india very scummy and scammy Optus very dodgy indeed

Called 2 days in a row so far, two times on the second day, I didn't answer the first time but did the second time - call hung up straight away. Second time same day, call center person spoke about promotions and started asking for personal details to verify my account, I hung up. I think its a suspicious call. Optus would most likely leave a message, one would think.

I've had a few calls from this number before, and usually ignore them as there is usually no response the few times I have actually answered. Since i have recently changed plans and am actually with Optus i answered the call tonight. Alarm bells went off instantly when i was being asked for Drivers Licence number and because i don't have one my Passport Number and even Medicare number apparently for my order to be processed. After telling them that i was already an Optus customer and they should already have all the information they need i politely hung up as quickly as i could. Dodgy!

Long story short. Got a call from this number after a live chat (the chat was successful so I didn't actually need a follow-up call - first warning sign). After getting suspicious, told them I'd ring Optus, and I did. Apparently, it's a legit Optus customer's number, but no idea why I would get a call from them. End result: They said they'd put a note/warning on that account, and they said I'd be fine to blacklist/block this number on my phone. So, seems pretty "Not Really Optus" to me.
